Winches

INTERCON winches and deck machinery operate worldwide in a wide range of applications. For over 50 years, Intercon has designed and manufactured deck equipment to meet the exact needs of its customers – whether that need is met from Intercon’s full line of standard products or from customized one-of-a-kind machines or systems.

INTERCON pioneered high-linepull winches for modern workboats. Intercon’s anchor handling winches replaced “towing machines” as the standard for the offshore oil market – especially in the formative stages of the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and the North Sea. Power and strength for severe service became principal design criteria for all Intercon towing and anchor handling winches. Linepull capabilities range from 35,000 to 1,000,000 lbs.

INTERCON continues to lead the deck machinery industry in pioneering development. Intercon’s latest reverse waterfall towing winches include state-of-the-art local and wheelhouse touch screen control. In addition to winch control, touchscreens provide winch integral monitoring of static and dynamic load, line tension, line speed and payout. Winch integral monitoring systems eliminate the inconvenience of RLTs taking up precious deck space. Wheelhouse control and monitoring add another level of safety for captain and crew.
