Auto-Mooring

At Intercon, we specialize in manufacturing mooring winches, but we’ve found exciting parallels in our partnership with AMS, a company developing solutions to eliminate mooring winches in certain applications. Similar to our introduction of the ATB concept in the 1980s, which addressed challenges in shipbuilding and safety, AMS’s StS system eliminates the risks of rope handling and parted ropes. This system offers significant time savings for mooring and unmooring, while enhancing safety and operational efficiency. Just like the StS system, the RpR eliminates the need for deck personnel drastically, enhancing onboard safety to unprecedented levels. We’re thrilled to support AMS with US-based service personnel and look forward to expanding our collaboration, including the potential for US-based manufacturing and product synergies with our ATB Couplers.
